Our motifs are not random fantasy décor: behind each one stands a story handed down in the Edda and the sagas. And we say honestly what is a source and what is later embellishment.
Attested: Yggdrasil, the world ash, stands at the centre of Old Norse cosmology (Völuspá, Grímnismál). Thor and his battles against the Midgard Serpent are among the best-attested myths of all – from the Poetic Edda to picture stones such as the one at Altuna. The Norns Urd, Verdandi and Skuld weave fate at the Well of Urd.
Myth-check: Many „Viking symbols" from the internet are modern (e.g. Vegvísir and Ægishjálmur from Icelandic grimoires of the 16th–19th centuries). We flag that openly. The motifs in this selection – Yggdrasil, Thor, the Norns, Freya – belong to the attested core of Norse tradition.
We engrave on real natural slate – every plaque has its own grain and slightly irregular broken edges, which is part of the natural material. The motif is laser-engraved razor-sharp (finest detail with no chipping), not printed and not stuck on. Available as a round disc or a rectangular tablet, with a stand or ready to hang. The motif is reproducible, the stone is not: every natural slate has its own grain and slightly different edges. Two plaques of the same motif therefore never look completely identical.
